Primary school is simply the best!

A DONCASTER primary school is celebrating after achieving the ultimate Ofsted accolade – outstanding across all areas in the latest inspection report.
Despite managing the difficulties of having three buildings on two sites, staff at Woodlands Primary School the report commended staff on having created a wonderful atmosphere for learning.
Parents commented that there was, "lots of encouragement, great support and effective strategies to make learning fun."
Despite many children entering the Early Years Foundation Stage with skills well below those typical for their age, inspectors found good progress was made in nursery and reception classes before reaching outstanding progress and achievement in years one to six.
In particular, the report noted that the school has a history of above average standards in science reflecting the excellent quality of teaching and learning in this subject.
Overall, the quality of teaching and learning was declared outstanding and largely responsible for pupils' rapid progress and their excellent attitudes towards school.
Inspectors praised teachers for their careful planning to meet pupils' different needs and ability to make very good use of the computers based in their classrooms to enhance pupils' learning.
Pupils' behaviour was also praised with the report stating it was exemplary throughout with excellent relationships existing between students and between children and staff.
Mayor Martin Winter said: "Congratulations to everyone at Woodlands Primary School. It is both pleasing and encouraging to see such high standards of education, leadership, care and progress being devoted to young people of Doncaster today. I wish the school all the very best in continuing such high standards in the future."
Praised for living up to its motto of 'inspiring achievement, celebrating success', inspectors acknowledged the continuing inspirational leadership of headteacher John McEnaney, who along with staff and governors, had a very good understanding of the school's strengths and areas for further development.
Mr McEnaney added: "This is a superb achievement. Woodlands Primary is a genuine community school and a school that governors, staff, pupils and parents are very proud of."
Chair of governors Christine Blount, said: "I am delighted that the hard work of John and his staff has been recognised in this report."
